Limited Warranty Policy

At Flexmakr by Outdesign Product Innovation Inc, we are committed to designing and manufacturing high-quality products for woodworkers.

Please read this warranty carefully to understand the coverage provided and the conditions that apply.

This Limited Warranty applies only to eligible products purchased directly from www.flexmakr.com or an authorized retailer for which this warranty is expressly identified on the applicable product page at the time of purchase. This policy does not automatically apply to every product offered for sale on our website.

Warranty Summary

Intended Use

Our products are designed exclusively for hobbyist, personal, and non-commercial woodworking, specifically for steam bending wood using a compatible electrical, unpressurized steam source.

Warranty coverage applies only when the products are used for their intended purpose and in accordance with the supplied operating and safety instructions.

Warranty Applicability

This Limited Warranty applies only to products for which this warranty is expressly stated on the applicable product page at the time of purchase.

Not all products sold by Flexmakr or its authorized retailers carry the same warranty coverage. Where a product is covered by this Limited Warranty, the applicable warranty will be clearly identified on that product's page or in the accompanying product documentation.

If no warranty is expressly stated for a particular product, no additional express warranty is provided beyond any rights that may be available under applicable law. Products of 3rd party manufacturers (example: wallpaper steamer) sold through Flexmakr are covered under their respective manufacturer's warranties. Please read the the manufacturer's warranty terms before purchasing.  

In the event of any inconsistency between this policy and the warranty information displayed on an individual product page, the warranty terms stated on the product page at the time of purchase shall govern for that product.

1-Year Limited Manufacturing Warranty

For a period of one (1) year from the original purchase date, we warrant that the Product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal hobby woodworking use.

If a covered defect is confirmed during the warranty period, we will, at our sole discretion:

• Repair the defective Product or component;
• Replace the defective Product or component with the same or an equivalent item;
• Supply replacement parts; or
• Refund the original purchase price if repair or replacement is not reasonably practical.

Replacement products or components are covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period.

Components Covered

The One-Year Limited Manufacturing Warranty applies to all factory-installed components of the Product, including but not limited to:

• Metal parts of aluminum, stainless steel etc including structural frames, brackets and similar.
• Plastic door panels and other molded hard plastic components
• EPDM bellows, seals, gaskets and other elastomeric parts
• Factory-installed fasteners, brackets, and hardware
• Factory-installed coated neodymium magnets and magnet mounting hardware

What Is Covered

This warranty covers manufacturing defects such as:

• Defective materials
• Defective workmanship
• Defective fabrication or molding
• Assembly defects
• Structural failures caused by manufacturing defects

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear
• Cosmetic damage that does not affect the Product's intended function
• Surface scratches, scuffs, abrasions, minor dents, chips, or finish wear
• Clouding, staining, discoloration, or loss of gloss on plastic components resulting from normal use
• Water spots, mineral deposits, resin staining, or cosmetic surface changes
• Normal aging of EPDM components, including hardening, softening, compression set, loss of elasticity, discoloration, or permanent deformation
• Chipped, cracked, or broken magnets resulting from impact, dropping, misuse, or improper handling. Corrosion of magnets or mild steel parts resulting from damage to their protective coating after delivery. Reduction in magnetic performance resulting from exposure to temperatures or conditions beyond the Product's intended operating limits.
• Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, improper storage, improper cleaning, chemical exposure, excessive steam pressure, overheating, freezing, unauthorized modifications, or use outside the Product's intended purpose

The lifespan of Elastomeric parts (including EPDM bellows, seals, tubing and gaskets) is highly dependent on environment, usage, storage and maintenace by user, and are considered replaceable wear components. While covered against manufacturing defects during the One-Year Limited Manufacturing Warranty, normal aging and wear are expected and are not covered. But be assured, that with normal hobby use, these components are expected to last several years beyond the 1-Year warranty period.

5-Year Anti-Corrosion Warranty

For a period of five (5) years from the original purchase date, we warrant that the following structural components will remain free from corrosion caused by defects in materials or manufacturing:

• Aluminum parts - Frames, plates, fasteners and other components
• SS304 stainless steel parts – support rods, backing, and other components
• Other factory-installed structural aluminum, SS304 or brass components

If covered corrosion occurs during the warranty period, we will, at our sole discretion:

• Repair the affected component;
• Replace the affected component; or
• Supply an equivalent replacement component.

 What Is Not Covered

The Five-Year Anti-Corrosion Warranty does not cover:

• Surface staining, tea staining, water spots, or cosmetic oxidation
• Cosmetic discoloration that does not affect structural integrity
• Corrosion caused by saltwater, marine environments, bleach, acids, alkalis, solvents, or other corrosive chemicals
• Galvanic corrosion caused by contact with incompatible metals
• Corrosion resulting from improper cleaning, maintenance, storage, or physical damage
• Plastic, EPDM, rubber, elastomeric, or other non-metallic components
• Coated magnets or mild steel parts

General Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Commercial, industrial, rental, institutional, or continuous production use
• Damage caused by improper assembly or installation
• Failure to follow operating, maintenance, or safety instructions
• Damage caused by incompatible steam generators or accessories
• Fire, flood, lightning, natural disasters, or other events beyond our reasonable control
• Shipping damage occurring after delivery has been accepted
• Products that have been altered, modified, or repaired by unauthorized persons

Customer Responsibilities

To maintain warranty coverage, you agree to:

• Use the Product only for normal hobby woodworking.
• Operate the Product with a compatible unpressuzrized steam source.
• Inspect the Product before each use.
• Clean and dry the Product after use.
• Store the Product indoors in a clean, dry environment.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during storage or operation.
• Avoid exposing the Product to corrosive chemicals or environments.
• Avoid unauthorized modifications or repairs.

Warranty Claims

To initiate a warranty claim, please contact us before returning any Product.

Please provide:

• Proof of purchase
• Order number
• Date of purchase
• Description of the issue
• Clear photographs showing the Product and the claimed defect

We may request additional information or require return of the Product or affected component for inspection before approving a claim.

Shipping for Approved Warranty Claims

For approved warranty claims within the United States, we may, at our discretion:

• Ship replacement parts;
• Repair the Product;
• Replace the Product; or
• Provide a prepaid return shipping label if inspection is required.

If a claim is determined not to be covered under this warranty, the customer is responsible for any applicable return shipping costs.

Warranty Limitations

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• This Limited Warranty is the exclusive express warranty for the Product.
• Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of the applicable express warranties described herein.
• Our liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of use, damage to workpieces, labor costs, or business interruption.

Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages. In those states, portions of the above limitations may not apply.

Your Legal Rights

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
